Bradford Bastard Review

Bradford Bastard is book one in the Bradford Bastard series by Sheridan Anne. A contemporary high school enemies to lovers romance.

Thank you Sheridan for sending me an ARC to dive into for this new series!

Bri is a sassy spitfire who doesn’t bow to anyone and isn’t afraid to put on her big girl boots and stomp on those egg shells. She’s a little bit of a badass.
Tanner is the hot football captain and all around popular guy at school. But he’s also her new neighbour.

Right from the beginning I knew I was going to love this book. Not only did I struggle to put it down and I binge read this in one sitting. But I was genuinely laughing within the first few chapters. Sheridan has this fantastic wit and it really comes across through not only her characters but the story itself.
The world build and the characters within this story was brilliant. They all bring something to the story and create subplots which I’m totally here for. I must say I hope we get some side character stories in the future. This big will throw you all those things you love about enemies to lovers with the tension, angst and a little smut too. But above all else it is plot heavy. There is substance to this story and you’ll think you have it figured out only for a curve ball to smack you in the face.
Like that cliffhanger ending…Can we just take a moment to fully appreciate the art to make your readers both love you for your story and absolutely hate you for making them wait for answers…..
