Him is book one in the mm sports romance Him series.
I honestly can’t get enough MM romance. So when Him was recommended to me by friends in the book community I of course had to jump on it. I’ve never read Sarina or Elle’s books before. Although Elle’s Off Campus & Briar U series are high on the TBR.
Wes and Jamie were friends since they were kids attending a hockey camp until one night hen they were 18 changes everything. From the first chapters I was hooked on Wes & Jamie. The dual POV’s honestly adds so much more to the story. Getting all the angst and struggle from both sides. Also it brings more of a full story in my opinion. There are also the cute/sweet moments thrown in as well at times it’s hard not to have an aww moment.
Us a MM sports romance is book 2 in the Him series.
Us picks up 5 months after Wes starting in the NHL, when the ‘honeymoon’ period appears to have warn thin and one of Wes’ team mates moves into the building. This book brings a lot of character and plot development to the story. With the lie of Jamie being Wes’ ‘roommate’ unravelling things are not as happy as they began.
I really enjoyed Wes and Jamie’s story. Not just for the romance of it but it addressed the real struggle that gay athletes could face. Being subjected to slurs and judgement based purely on their sexual preference.
Epic was a great short novella to tie up Wes and Jamie’s story.
